It's been a full year since the first round of apartments hit the market at MiMA, the 63-story pet-pampering, life-organizing Midtown tower named for its "Middle of Manhattan" 'hood. In that year, much has happened! Developer The Related Companies unveiled the renderings and floorplans for 1 MiMA Tower, the for-sale portion of the building?and then decided those apartments would be rentals, not condos, after all. And now the penthouses, three-bedrooms on the 60th through 63rd floors, are on the market. Related invited photog Will Femia over for a look?and while he was there, he snapped a few shots of the latest amenities, too. Outdoor movie and barbecue, anyone?
Rents on the penthouses range from $10,000/month to more than $25,000/month, according to building reps. The benefits, apart from the views: 10- to 15-foot ceilings and, in some units, media rooms with wet bars. Penthouse residents also get access to a private lobby with concierge, accessed through a separate entrance from the one used by the rest of MiMA's renters. Everyone uses the same Dog City, though.
