At the southwest corner of West 30th Street and Tenth Avenue, the Related Companies is beginning work on a new 33-story residential tower (rendered above). Though Ismael Leyva is the architect of record, the Observer hears that the actual architect on the project is none other than Robert A.M. Stern, who set downtown records with Superior Ink. (Related's Steve Ross is a known fan.) No word yet on the construction timeline, but amenities listed on the project's Schedule A include a basketball court in the basement and a pet room.
