Jeter Puts Infield-Sized Penthouse in Play for $18M

New, 12 comments

Derek Jeter is following through on his swing to sell his penthouse at Trump World Tower, preferring a more intimate pied-a-terre in the city now that he's unattached and his larger 30,000 square foot home in Tampa is complete. Penthouse #88B (let's just call it PH#02) is 5,425 square feet—not quite a full diamond, but definitely bigger than a dugout. The Yankees captain wanted $20 million for the apartment in late 2010, but has checked that ask to $18 million, which is still a nice gain over the $12. 7 million he paid for the place in 2001. In addition to the panoramic views in all directions, Jeter's 4BR/5.5BA place has 16 foot floor-to-ceiling windows with 77 feet in length of grand entertaining space encompassing the living room, billiards room and formal dining room. the Post reports that the dining room table seats 14, which is enough room for the Yankees starting lineup and all of the team's starting pitchers.
