What $3,200 Can Rent You Around New York City

New, 29 comments

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what a set dollar amount can rent you in various New York City neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $3,200/month.

? To start things off, in FiDi, this 1BR loft is available for $3,150/month. It features 11-foot ceilings, large windows, a bit of exposed brick, and close proximity to the water.

? Our next comparison is much the same as the first. Recently photographed 220 Water Street, in Dumbo, offers this 805-square-foot 1BR loft for $3,125/month. Building amenities include a lobby with a refreshment center, roofdeck with fireplaces and grills, WiFi, a pet wash, etc, etc. The apartment itself features 14-foot ceilings, large windows, and a washer and dryer.

? In Astoria, $3,150/month gets you a 997-square-foot 2BR 2BA in a building with a roofdeck, doorman, and gym. The apartment itself looks fairly new and boasts some pretty nice views of the Manhattan skyline (as well as the surrounding Queens neighborhoods.)

? This West Village 1BR in a co-op building is available for $3,200/month for a six month lease. It has a fireplace, rooftop access, a cool light fixture in the bedroom, and no shortage of exposed brick, however, there is no floorplan included and in appears somewhat cramped. On the plus side, free HBO!

? In Williamsburg, a 1BR in The Residences at The Williamsburg is available for $3,175/month. It looks very fancy, and offers many of the services provided by the Hotel Williamsburg. The listing does not lack for confidence, boasting, "The Residences at The Williamsburg is the life youve always dreamed of – only better." But how did they see into my dreams? you may be wondering. Don't worry about it.
