So just how big have gigantic combination apartments gotten? Well, in a piece in the Times, appraisal guru Jonathan Miller says “I don’t recall in my 25 years in the business seeing this sort of phenomenon happening with this size of a unit." The average size of a typical Manhattan combination was 3,000 square feet just a decade ago. Now? 6,000 definitely looks like the norm. Go big or go home! [NYT]
