So, the Times tackles the "struggles" of the pretty well off in a piece about the new high cost of renting in the city. In one instance a couple's rent in the Village is so high that they end up buying a place in DUMBO. Or the tragic tale of the three roommates whose rent gets increased from $3,700 to $4,300. Their solution? Get a nicer place for $5,400 (begging the question: is the FiDi that much better than Murray Hill?) Maybe Gothamist hit it on the head. [NYT]
