'Burg Sawdust Factory Becomes Music Venue (Of Course)

New, 27 comments

A music venue is nothing new in the neighborhood of the rock 'n' roll-inspired play space, but there are still a few notable features of the Original Music Workshop, a conversion underway at the corner of North Sixth and Berry streets. Former tax attorney/current organ player Kevin Dolan picked up the former sawdust factory for $2.33 million and will spend about $15 million to turn it into OMW, a concert venue with movable stage plus rehearsal and recording rooms plus a restaurant. Dolan, working with architecture firm Bureau V, will keep the building's exterior as-is.
