Loftpocalypse

New, 9 comments

The tenants of Williamsburg's 338 Berry Street have officially lost their eviction fight: a judge ruled yesterday that the loft law extension doesn't apply to them. The tenants had hoped to legalize their lofts under the latest extension of the 1982 law, but the court ruled that they're bound instead by an earlier agreement with their landlord that only allowed them to stay until last year.
