A $22K/Month Rental in Meatpacking's Favorite Spaceship

New, 4 comments

The Porter House, the MePa warehouse turned much-lauded residential project, has been around for the better part of a decade now and its design, by SHoP Architects, hasn't lost any of its appeal. A corner three-bedroom on one of the building's hybrid floors—that is to say the bits where the old warehouse meets the black metal addition—has just been sent to market with a sky-high asking rent of $22,000 per month. Fittingly situated next door to the Old Homestead Steakhouse, the Porter House also lies close to all the late-night Meatpacking hotspots. That's great for the clubbing crowd, but aren't three-bedroom cribs at this price usually aimed at families?
