The hotel at 151 East Houston Street has been seeking a buyer at a significant-sounding $21 million, but in the meantime, the current owners are moving ahead with a rooftop expansion. Bowery Boogie unearthed the above rendering of the grim four-story extension (by ADB Associates), which would make the hotel's total height 118 feet. The hotel owners will go before the SLA tonight to request a rooftop bar, so we're thinking this proposed tumor might come up in the course of discussion.
