Taking It To The Sheets in Carnegie Hill

New, 8 comments

UPPER EAST SIDE—Neighbors worried about losing their Park Avenue views and/or concerned with the loss of two mid-19th century buildings that are a link to Carnegie Hill's past are taking it to the sheets in defiance. In a very un-Upper East Side move, protestors are hanging bedsheet banners outside the windows of 1112 Park Avenue that say "Save Our History"—aimed directly against the Toll Brothers company, which recently purchased diminutives 1108 and 1110 Park Avenue for probable replacement by a high-rise residential building. We suggest stringing soiled underwear. We've heard that gets people's attention. [Curbedwire Inbox; NYO]
