RED HOOK—A number of tall-masted ships and modern international naval vessels will be docked at and the Red Hook Marine Terminal over Memorial Day weekend, and available to the public for up-close inspection. Visitors to the marine terminal will be able to see four historic tall ships, four naval ships, and two U.S. Coast Guard cutters from Saturday through Monday. [Curbedwire Inbox]

MEATPACKING DISTRICT—Salons de Refuses was a hand-salvaged collection of non-selected items for this last week's Sawkill Lumber 12X12 exhibit in conjunction with the Wanted Design event. "The twelve pieces featured in the show were constructed using re-purposed wood from twelve demolished historical structures in NYC." Since they were not selected for display in an official exhibit, Salon des Refuses created its own, installed within a public location at the cross section of 14th Street and 9th Avenue in the Meatpacking District through this past weekend. The exhibit has been moved to an undisclosed location. [Curbedwire Inbox]
