A surprise bidding war erupted over a Bay Ridge building at yesterday's Brooklyn estate auction. The building went for $2.82 million?76 percent over the starting bid of $1.6 million. And there was drama involved, too: the public administrator called out the wrong paddle number, forcing him to reopen bidding.
