Nothing beats a post-IPO winner walking around with a newly found social network fortune bursting his bank account to serve as possible purchaser for a $50 million Tribeca mansion that's been sitting on the market for more than a year, biding its time as downtown's most expensive rental property at $100K per month. The Post reports that a Facebook insider from the west coast has flown out to NYC twice to take a look at the 23,000-square-foot limestone building at 144 Duane Street. In an almost perfect anticipatory move, the seller recently bumped the the price of the non-selling multi-family former shoe factory 10%, to $49.5 million.
