Conversions

Eternally unconverted Red Hook warehouse 160 Imlay likes to remind us of its existence every so often. This time the reminder comes in a rather complicated form. The Board of Standards and Appeals has granted the developers an extension on their variance to convert the building to residential use. The extension comes after a confusing legal back-and-forth (is there any other kind?) in which the Red-Hook Gowanus Chamber of Commerce sued to challenge the variance but "failed to name 160 Imlay Street LLC in the petition." Whoops! [CityLand; previously]
