DOB permits filed last year hinted at a major switch at 240 Manhattan Avenue and 110th Street: the developers originally wanted a one-story retail space and then decided on a 22-story residential building instead. Hey, why not? Details have been sparse, but Harlem Bespoke just unearthed a rendering on the website of architects GF55 Partners. And the building doesn't exactly?blend with the neighbors. It will have 88 units and 83,400 square feet. Construction should wrap up in January 2014.
