Celeb Photographer Buys at Revived 245 Tenth Avenue

New, 3 comments

High Line hugger 245 Tenth Avenue had us over for drinks and then went quiet, waiting for the buyers to come to it. And so they have! The Real Deal reports that celebrity photographer Norman Jean Roy has picked up a 2,519-square-foot unit in the building for $3.38 million (ask: $3.5 million). And looking through public records, Roy wasn't the only buyer to close recently. Talk about a successful tale of redemption.

The average recorded sale price so far is $2,497,000. The two most recent closings, for units 6W and 8W, show prices of $2,876,556 and $3,258,400, respectively. Broker Leonard Steinberg tells The Real Deal the building is 90 percent sold or in contract; StreetEasy shows two units up for grabs at $2 million and $5.65 million.
