Weekend Home: Gardening Author's Historic House

We'll be profiling one fun weekend home every Sunday, courtesy of Curbed Hamptons...

Gardening book author Priscilla Dunhill recently listed her 2,400-square-foot, .25 acre home in Sag Harbor for $1.695 million. It's got four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and six fireplaces. (That seems like of lot of fireplaces.) The house was built in 1830 and still has plenty of original details. As a Curbed Hamptons commenter pointed out, however, the garden seems pretty lackluster for the author of 65 Glorious Gardens to Visit in Northern California. Maybe after profiling all those glorious gardens it was too daunting to start one of her own?
