One more hurdle has been cleared in Patrick Thompson's plan to redevelop the RKO Keith's Theatre, the rundown Flushing spot that hopes to add 357 rental apartments to the original theater's lobby. The Federal Aviation Administration granted Thompson clearance for the building?an approval it planned to issue in January, until an opponent filed paperwork to hold up the process. The FAA's thumbs-up is good until October 30, 2013. If Thompson fails to start construction by then, he'll need to return to the FAA for fresh approvals. [Times Ledger via Queens Crap; previously]
