An Upper West Side building superintendent and two other men involved in operating UWS buildings will pay over $2 million in fines to tenants. The super, William Barnason, also a convicted sex offender, "would try to enter women's apartments and demand sex, engage in 'unwelcome groping and fondling' and demand sexual favors in return for rent reductions," according to the legal complaint against him. The landlord who hired Barnason has also been banned from managing buildings. [NYT]
