Two Brooklyn Heights Co-ops, Only One Winner

New, 2 comments

Imagine you have between one and two million dollars to spend on an apartment and you've narrowed it down to two co-ops in the same neighborhood. How do you make up your mind? The answer is simple: you shove them into a metaphorical cage and let them battle it out until one emerges victorious. It's time for Real Estate Deathmatch. (Trying to decide between two places in real life? Send them in to the tipline and let complete strangers make this very important decision for you.)

Address 111 Hicks Street 12HG 19 Grace Court 3B
Price $1,249,000 $1,800,000
Maintenance $2,683 $1,809
Beds, Baths 3, 2 4, 3

19 Grace Court is bigger and pricier. (Theoretically, those two cancel each other out.) But 111 Hicks Street, aka St. George Tower was, according to the listing, "architect-designed," as opposed to Grace Court, which was presumably designed by a cat or a pirate or something. St. George Tower also has the weirdness factor on its side. It has an above-average amount of aquamarine, and a sauna-esque bathroom, and, well, let's just call it character. Grace Court, on the other hand, is almost devastatingly normal. But nice. But normal. Now, do voting:
