How Much for a 2BR Duplex on the Upper West Side?

New, 8 comments

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Tomorrow we reveal the answer. And hey, no cheating!

What/Where: 2BR/2BA duplex co-op on the UWS (Amsterdam and 78th St.)
Square Feet: N/A
Maintenance/CC: $1,473 a month
The Skinny: This 2BR/2BA duplex is primarily two things according to the brokerbabble: "supreme" and "dreamy". The co-op building its in (five stories, 20 units) is "supremely located" near the Museum of Natural History, Central and Riverside Parks, Zabars, and all sorts of other good stuff. The apartment is also "supremely unique", with "soaring" ten foot ceilings and a master suite located on the lower floor of the duplex. It doesn't look like that ceiling height holds in the downstairs level, however, where it appears closer to seven feet than 10. The duplex is also described as "dreamy" twice in the broker description, to emphasize the alliterative point. There's lots of exposed brick upstairs, a decorative fire place (hidden behind the couch in these pictures) and the second smaller bedroom. Square footage isn't available at this time, but the floor plan measurements are fairly detailed. How much do you think the seller is asking?
