That's another most expensive condo off the market: casino mogul Steve Wynn closed yesterday on Christopher Jeffries' duplex at 50 Central Park South, according to the Journal. Jeffries asked $77.5 million for the 10,882-square-foot apartment and got $70 million. Not bad! Wynn, who was last seen flipping a place at the Plaza in late 2010, will be getting his-and-hers dressing rooms and a 900-square-foot living room. He'll also be paying a monthly maintenance fee of $18,057/month. Oof.
Steve Wynn wasn't the only stratospherically wealthy person to close on an expensive apartment yesterday. Someone also spent a little more than $40 million on Ted Forstmann's duplex penthouse at 2 East 70th Street. The still-anonymous buyer apparently has dual French and U.S. citizenship and is married to an American. Any guesses on an ID?
