Forget the East River Ferry. You want to really spice up your morning commute? Hop in a kayak! Instead of fighting fellow straphangers, they battle boats and swift currents. "We've had a couple of close calls with barges and water taxis," said one kayaker, likening the big boats' wakes to the Bermuda Triangle. [DNAinfo]
