Take that Barclays Center! While the Brooklyn arena seems to have sprung forth from Atlantic and Flatbush in just a few months, this elevated hardwood court with bleachers was spotted by BoweryBoogie going up over a matter of days. Unconfirmed rumors reveal that the basketball court built secretively on top of a Lower East Side playground along Rivington Street between Norfolk and Suffolk is for summer basketball presented jointly by Nike and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). And who needs the 40/40 Club, when Schiller's Liquor Bar is right across the street. Look for basketball players cooling off in those co-ed wash basins this summer!
