Zach Motl designs windows for Ralph Lauren's Madison Avenue store?and also lives in a 425-square-foot rented studio in Brooklyn. He turned the studio space into five rooms (well, sorta) and shared photos with House Beautiful, which shared them with us. The space is in the gallery above. A few fun factoids: Motl has a car, so he keeps some of his stuff there instead of in the apartment (cheating?). He once fit 37 people in the apartment for a holiday party, moving only one chair to a neighbor's place. And his last apartment was just 178 square feet. We can't imagine what his car looked like then.
