The First "Beach Box" Hits The Market; Art Owners File Suit

The latest from Curbed Hamptons, our outpost on the East End...

1) An eco-friendly house (dubbed "The Beach Box") made entirely of re-purposed shipping containers has hit the market. Asking price? 1.395M.

2) The owners of "The Legs" in Sag Harbor aren't taking the most recent denial of their variance request sitting down. They've filed an Article 78, calling the zoning board's decision "arbitrary, capricious, unreasonable and illegal in all respects."

3) Southampton's getting a fancy new pavilion. It stands 35 feet tall, seats 299 and has been called a "reinterpreted-gazebo-meets-bandshell" by the designer.
