Struggling local retailer St. Mark's Bookshop is making another attempt at finding some funds, after a long-running struggle to make the rent. The bookstore is seeking votes for a $250,000 small business grant from Chase and Living Social. Last fall, the store had some of its debt forgiven by landlord Cooper Union and got a one-year rent reduction from $20,000/month to $17,500/month. Guess now it's time to start thinking about what's next once the lease is up. [EV Grieve; previously]
