Big Bucks to Watch Big Booms

For the out-of-money Hudson River Park, desperate times call for desperate measures, or at least expensive VIP seating sections for the Fourth of July fireworks. The park trust plans to sell at least 500 tickets at $200 a pop for a special viewing section at next week's July 4th celebration. Many are calling the plan elitist (you don't say...), but hey, the tickets are still cheaper than the rent you'd pay on a building with river views. So it's a bargain, right? [NYT]
