The hammer came down yesterday on a $3 million apartment in Tribeca's Ice House. The place was sold at auction after the death of its previous owner, who spent $774,000, or $336/square foot, on it in 1999. The buyer is a Long Island man who works in finance, and he paid $3.15 million for the 2,000-square-foot apartment. [Malcolm Carter; previously]
