Downtown residents and visitors can become their own tour guides with the release of a self-guided walking tour that will take you from City Hall down to the lower tip of Manhattan. There are 14 stops on the "Highlights of Lower Manhattan" tour, describing buildings, structures, and historical locations like the Woolworth Building, Brooklyn Bridge, and Stone Street. The tour was produced by the Downtown Alliance, from whose site one can download the tour map and print out the tour stop descriptions. If you prefer to hear the tour we suggest getting a friend with a small megaphone to recite the site descriptions to you as you walk the downtown streets. Or we suppose you could just download the tour's audio accompaniment from the Locacious app for the iPhone.
