Saint Claire Condos Sell Out; New Brooklyn Film Series

New, 1 comment

EAST HARLEM?It's taken more than four years, but all of the luxury condos in the Saint Claire at 2077 Fifth Avenue have finally sold. To be fair, the building suffered a sales setback when the recession hit in 2008 and didn't relaunch sales until January 2011. MNS announced that the brokerage closed on all of the units last month. BROOKLYN?The Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture in Park Slope is hosting a new film series that tackles all the topics Brooklynites find near and dear to their hearts: "gentrification, eminent domain, public subsidies for luxury developments, political corruption, rising rents, and neighborhood revitalization." Created by Filmwax’s Adam Schartoff, the series, Brooklyn Reconstructed, will feature six documentaries and films, all but one of which were made in the last two years. My Brooklyn, a film focusing on Downtown Brooklyn and the changing Fulton Street Mall, will be the first screening on July 25. [Curbedwire Inbox; official]
