It's a Sabotage

That was quick. Yesterday, the battle to save the former home of Beastie Boy Adam Horovitz/proposed landmark 186 Spring Street was just beginning. Today, it is over. In the end, developer Stephane Boivin, who bought the house earlier this year "for personal use," barely even had to fight for his right to tear it down. The Landmarks Preservation Commission checked out the building and promptly decided that it "doesn’t rise to the level of an individual landmark." Boivin is now licensed to build. [DNAinfo]
