First Look at Williamsburg Park; Beyond the High Line Continues

WILLIAMSBURG?North Brooklyn will christen its newest outdoor concert venue tonight, and Brooklyn Vegan got an exclusive first look at the site. Located at Kent Avenue and North 12th Street, Williamsburg Park is presented by Open Space Alliance and the same people who brought you the McCarren Park Pool concerts. The space looks massive, and they've painted the concrete ground to look like the sky. Click through for more photos. [Curbedwire Inbox; Brooklyn Vegan]

CHELSEA?The High Line is continuing its public talks next Monday with a presentation by urban parks experts from Detroit. The event is part of the "Beyond the High Line" series which aims to "inspire conversation about the transformation of the out-of-use industrial infrastructure into public open space across the country." The event will feature members from the Detroit's Riverfront Conservancy and Roosevelt Park, who will be talking about how the city is already reclaiming disused real estate as green space. Bonus: there will be Detroit-style Coney hot dogs for sale. [Curbedwire Inbox; official]

MANHATTAN?In addition to the quarterly market reports released last week, StreetEast released its New Development Report for June, based on the site's sale listings. Unsurprisingly, the findings are similar. In Manhattan, inventory has declined 19 percent since last year, and the median listing price has increased by 5.3 percent in the last six months. Since a year ago, prices are up more than 15 percent. For more number fun, including stats for some neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens, you can see the whole report here. [StreetEasy]
