The High Line doesn't come in for much public criticism, but the fact that the park will get $5 million from the city for the construction of phase three has ruffled a few feathers. Mostly the feathers of folks involved with other, more poorly funded parks, like the Hudson River Park, dealing with an $80 million projected deficit and slated to get just $618,000 from the city. Maybe the High Line should establish its own benevolence fund for fellow parks. [DNAinfo; previously]
