The owners of the somewhat boring renovated townhouse at 45 West 84th Street were trying to make a $7.5 million profit on the home, but it looks like after eight months on the market, they've settled for a little less. They listed the home back in November for $12.5 million, a 150 percent hike from the $5 million they spent on it in 2009, and they recently unloaded it to a buyer from Los Angeles for $10.7 million. The 6BR/9BA, 18-foot brownstone has an elevator, private garden with a built-in grill area, a sun room, two terraces, library, plus a full-floor master suite with a home office, marble bathroom, and steam shower. Was it worth it?
