Curtains Up on Fort Greene

A real estate broker and 18-year resident of Fort Greene has created a one-woman play called "Black Girl You've Been Gentrified" about the neighborhood's transformation. Her advice to homebuyers in the 'hood? "Get to know the neighbors, participate. That's what makes Brooklyn unique. Unlikely neighbors can be friends." The one thing she would change? "The stadium. When have you ever heard of an arena being good for a neighborhood? A city maybe, but the surrounding neighborhood, I don't think so." [The Local]
