Decoded: The Height of 'Splendor' in Apartment Listings

New, 5 comments

Welcome back to The Brokerbabble Glossary, where we take a word or a turn of phrase that seems to show up in an unreasonable number of listings and decipher its true meaning. If you have any ideas for us, send them to the tipline. Today's word: Splendor.

Let's see if we can wrap our heads around this one. This apartment looked like this at one point, then it didn't look like this, and then the current owners paid actual money to have it restored to look like this again? Are we understanding the situation correctly? That just seems like a lot of effort to go through for a building whose name makes us think about Doritos.

If there's one thing those curtains are saying, it's "Splendor."

Looks like somebody got a thesaurus for his birthday.

Nothing says splendor (or 19th century) like only being able to take baths.
