Thirty-eight percent of the apartments at 124 West 23rd Street have gone into contract, but the building hasn't yet secured its hoped-for tax abatement. Developer Anbau Enterprises applied for the 421-a abatement and was denied, so the developer has asked a state court to get involved. The dispute apparently won't affect the taxes of those who've already bought units, and the building will get most, if not all, of the 421-a benefits regardless. As you were. [Real Deal; previously]
