New, 2 comments

HARLEM?The winning designs of the Emerging New York Architects competition will be on display at the Center for Architecture starting next week. This year's contest asked entrants to reimagine the decommissioned Department of Sanitation marine transfer station on the Hudson River at 135th Street. "Winning designs were chosen by the jury for innovative approaches to returning an industrial site to beneficial public use in unusual, even fanciful, ways." There will be an opening reception on Thursday, July 12 at 7 p.m., and the exhibit will be on view through October 31. [Curbedwire Inbox; previously]
