The City EDC and Triangle Equities are quarreling over a $35 million South Bronx development, delaying the Westchester Avenue project. Triangle was supposed to close on the property in May, but instead asked to renegotiate. EDC reps say the company wants the price dropped from $6.2 million to $2.2 million. Triangle denies this, calling the whole spat "a wrinkle" that will be ironed out soon. Construction on the project, which will have retail space, office space, a supermarket and a school, was supposed to start this fall, but now Triangle hopes to at least break ground by the end of the year.
