The Perils Of Renting Out Your Home; The Changes In Montauk

The latest from Curbed Hamptons, our outpost on the East End...

1) If you're going to rent a house (or seven) in the Hamptons for a "family reunion," it's probably not wise to then rent them out to high school students for after-prom parties. Even less wise would be creating an instruction manual that offers rules for underage drinking and how to avoid getting busted.

2) Would you look at that! This Noyac home was able to find a buyer in less than three weeks. A rare feat in the Hamptons these days.

3) Montauk has experienced some incredible changes in the last few years?but is that a good thing? No real consensus on this open thread other than folks wishing visitors would clean up after themselves.
