Inside the Model Unit at Condo Conversion 530 Park Avenue

The condo conversion at 530 Park Avenue is trying to change the meaning of "white brick building" so that it's no longer associated with ugly modern construction. How's developer RFR Holding doing so far? A tipster points out that the building has just released model unit photos, and those herringbone floors definitely trigger thoughts of traditional Park Avenue luxury. It's almost enough to make us forget about Bianca Jagger's rent war and the all-gold lobby. (Speaking of rent wars, 36 tenants out of 116 units remain in the building under either rent stabilization or rent control.) So far, the building's website lists 11 units up for sale.
Prices range from $2.325 million for a 1BR, 1BA to $9.85 million for a 3BR, 3BA. The largest unit listed, a 4BR, 4.5BA, has a contract out. Here's a look at some of the floorplans:
