A saltbox is a house with a long, pitched roof that extends down the back, making it look like a one-story home from one side and a two-story home from the other. According to Wikipedia, one theory about the evolution of the saltbox is that houses were built like that in the late 17th century to get around a tax on two-story houses levied by Queen Anne. There, now we've all learned something today. If you want to bore all your guests with lectures about pre-American Revolution taxation, this the property for you. It also has a heated pool, which is what colonists would build to evade Queen Anne's tax on not having a great time.
