MIDTOWN AND FRESH MEADOWS?Considering the 105-107 Reade redesign wasn't the only business the Landmarks Preservation Commission conducted today. The commission voted to hold a public hearing on the interior landmarking of the Rainbow Room on September 11. The commission also voted to landmark Brinckerhoff Cemetery in Fresh Meadows, Queens. The cemetery, used from 1730 to 1872, was a private burial ground for some prominent Dutch settlers. Fun fact: at one time it occupied an acre and a half on the border of the Brinckerhoff-Skidmore-Schleider and Noorstrandt-Hendrickson-Purdy-Eisdeman farms. And they went with just Brinckerhoff for the name? [CurbedWire Inbox]
