The cemetery, used from 1730 to 1872, was a private burial ground for some prominent Dutch settlers. Fun fact: at one time it occupied an acre and a half on the border of the Brinckerhoff-Skidmore-Schleider and Noorstrandt-Hendrickson-Purdy-Eisdeman farms. And they went with just Brinckerhoff for the name? [CurbedWire Inbox]
