The Naftali Group, founded in 2011, has certainly hit the ground running. In addition to the four projects it's currently developing in Brooklyn, including some luxury condos in Boerum Hill, it has now made a foray into Manhattan, and has announced plans for "family-sized" luxury condos on the Upper West Side. Teamed up again with ODA, the architects behind the Boerum Hill condos, Naftali, along with partner Praedium Group (who have some previous Upper West Side condo conversion experience), have purchased four five-story buildings at 176-182 West 82nd Street for a combined $17 million, according to Crain's, and say that sales on the condos will likely begin in early 2014. Any changes to the exterior will need to receive Landmarks Preservation Commission approval, as the building is located in a historic district.
