The Lobster Farm seafood wholesaler on the corner of Hester and Allen Streets has been closed for about half a year and now the inevitable residential conversion is underway. Bowery Boogie has details on what's planned for the narrow plot that extends north up Allen from the former storefront on Hester. It's an 8 story finger building with apartments on floors 3 through 8, ground floor retail, and a diagnostic and treatment healthcare facility on the second floor. Demolition on the old lobster farm is ongoing.
