What Even Qualifies As a Library These Days?

New, 4 comments

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

Price: $649,000
Address: 309 West 93rd Street
Size: 2BR, 1BA
Maintenance: $986

We're big fans of any floorplan that takes a random area of mostly hallway and labels it a library. Because why not? We need more libraries! Reading is down, according to some study that almost definitely exists somewhere. Libraries don't have to be these big ostentatious things. Got a spare closet? Make it a library! A large crock pot that you don't use very often? Library! Do you own a book? Hollow it out, put two smaller books inside, boom, that's a library. All joking aside, though, this looks like a very nice apartment. Very spacious, nice and clean-looking, nice molding. Seems like a deal.
