Elena Slukina put in the winning bid for an apartment at 36 Hamilton Avenue in Staten Island, and everything was going great. Until she met the co-op board, that is. Slukina who is, according to the Post "visibly pregnant" was questioned about her "family planning" and subsequently rejected on the grounds that her baby, once born, might start crying at some point. Slukina has filed a lawsuit and a judge has granted her a temporary restraining order. If she wins, this should make for some pretty awkward elevator rides. [NYP]
