The 68th Police Precinct Station House and Stable in Sunset Park has been abandoned since 1970. In 1999, the 126-year-old building was purchased by the Brooklyn Chinese-American Association, who hoped to turn it into a youth center. So far they haven't been able to raise any money, but they have been hit with over $70,000 in fines due to various violations in the building, which is basically on the verge of falling down. The city is threatening a "demolition by neglect" suit. [NYDN; Photo by Todd Maisel]
